Metal roofing has gained popularity in both residential and commercial sectors due to its durability, minimal maintenance, and aesthetic appeal. This guide will provide an in-depth look at metal roofing, including the various types, benefits, installation considerations, and maintenance tips to ensure longevity and optimal performance.

Metal roofing comes in various materials and styles, each offering unique advantages.

CORRUGATED METAL

Corrugated metal roofing consists of sheets of metal shaped into a series of parallel ridges and grooves, which enhance its strength and durability. Made from materials such as steel, aluminum, or copper, it is commonly used in commercial, agricultural, and residential buildings.

This roofing type is known for its longevity, often lasting 50 years or more, and its resistance to harsh weather conditions, including heavy rain, snow, and high winds. Corrugated metal roofing is lightweight, which reduces the structural load on buildings, and it is also fire-resistant and impervious to pests and rot. Roofing system typically lasts 40 years not 50. Add that it is adhered with sealed screws which typically require some maintenance around 25 years. I want this to be the last and worst choice. Its the cheapest

CUSTOM COPPER STANDING SEAM

Copper standing seam roofing is a high-end roofing system known for its durability, longevity, and distinctive appearance. This type of roofing consists of copper panels joined together by raised seams that run vertically along the roof slope, creating a sleek and elegant look.

Copper is highly resistant to corrosion and can last over a century with minimal maintenance. Over time, it develops a natural patina, transitioning from its shiny, reddish-brown color to a greenish hue, which provides additional protection against the elements.

The installation process involves interlocking the copper panels and securing them with concealed fasteners, which enhances the roof's watertight integrity and resistance to wind uplift. It is custom made and is even available as smaller accents to a larger job. Then let’s get a good copper standing seam photo next to it. This is the most expensive and labor intensive. Very rarely do homeowners select this but when they do its a cash cow.

METAL STANDING SEAM

Interlocking panels. Nicest style. No Maintenance. Very leak resistant. Most appealing from the street. Get good photo of standing seam on there next to it.

Needed a new roof on my house, but didn't know the extent of the damage over a porch on the front. These guys went over and above to not only repair the damaged wood, but did an excellent job replacing the roof! They did top quality work and used the best shingles available. Extremely happy with their work and I'd recommend them to anyone who needs roofing work!

Zac and his crew are top notch! From the initial call to first home visit, their communication and customer service is great. They walked us through all the work required and helped us make the best decision possible, without any pressure. The day of the install, they took great care of our home, like it was their own, and when they were finished, they cleaned up and no trace of them being onsite for such a big job remained. I would absolutely use them again!

Zach, the owner, contacted us after we asked for a quote for a new roof due to possible hail damage. His team assessed our roof and reassured us we did not need a new roof at this time. He was knowledgeable and honest about our needs. It is refreshing to know a company can still be honest even if it means he may not get the business at this time. When we do need a new roof he will be our contractor!
